New in 2025: The MaK G 1206 locomotives are diesel-hydraulic locomotives, developed by Maschinenbau Kiel (MaK). MaK was acquired by Vossloh AG in 1998. The MaK G 1206 has a BB axle arrangement. It has a power output of 1500 kW or 1570 kW and reaches a speed of 100 km/h. Caterpillar or MTU engines are installed. The 1206 is used by many private transport companies for heavy shunting and scheduled line service.
