We are Miniature Trainstore - part of Miniature Project - a family business that originated from a passion for model trains and model railways. From our location in Noordwijk we deal with everything that has to do with model railway construction on a daily basis: from sales and purchasing to repairs, scenery and complete custom projects. With more than 20 years of experience in the world of model railways, we help both novice and experienced enthusiasts to fulfill their wishes. Below you can read more about who we are and what we do.
Over the years, not only did our range grow, but also the number of customers and projects. In 2020, it was time for a new step: the move to our new building in Noordwijk. Here we have more space for our collections of different brands, a professional workshop and a showroom. This location allows us to receive our customers even better and to build our own miniature world!
Miniature Project is not only to be found in the shop – we are also actively present at various model railway fairs and events. Since our start we have been represented at fairs such as Expo Houten, Rijswijk and Eurospoor in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht. We also come to Belgium (Malen) more and more often. These events offer us the opportunity to get in touch with our customers and other enthusiasts. They are mainly fun days.
In 2023, we celebrated our fifth anniversary with a festive open day at our new location. More than 100 visitors found their way to our store, where they enjoyed impressive displays, demonstrations, tasty snacks and a cozy atmosphere. From the beginning, we worked hard to become the official dealer of the best brands for our customers. Our first dealerships came from ESU and Tilligbahn, followed by scenery brands such as Faller, Busch, Noch, Viessmann and Herpa. Then we expanded with larger brands such as Roco, Fleischmann and Piko. In 2022, we reached a milestone with the official Märklin dealership . In the meantime, we have also become a dealer of more specific brands such as Exact Train, with Dutch models, and MBR Scenery for realistic landscape design. Thanks to our broad network and large range, we can fulfill almost every wish of our customers.
Our journey began in 2018 in Noordwijkerhout, where we opened our first doors. With a small showroom and workplace for repairs, we took our first steps as a shop and meeting place for enthusiasts. From day one, personal service, expertise and love for the trade were central - values that are still at the core of everything we do today.
