Piko 58968 - Tank wagon with kink - Type Caib - Benelux NS - Era V

Print version of the articulated tank wagon "Caib" in the design of era V. In the early 1990s, the first tank wagons with a so-called "articulated boiler" were built. The boiler construction was such that the two boiler halves each inclined 3° towards the middle. As a result, the contents of the boiler, mainly mineral oil products, flowed away almost completely without any further aids. Since the vehicles, which are made of lightweight steel, are suitable for higher speeds, they were soon purchased by other companies throughout Europe. These wagons can be found as P-wagons (=private wagons) in the stock of all European railway companies.
