The Märklin 37961 is a detailed H0 model of the heavy Mallet tank locomotive Gt 2x4/4, later known as the Baureihe 96, of the Royal Bavarian State Railways (K.Bay.Sts.B.). These locomotives were used to pull heavy freight trains over steep routes, such as the Schiefe Ebene. The model is painted in the original beige livery and bears the company number 5751.
