Central Station 3, as a multiprotocol control device with its modern, high-resolution color touchscreen, 2 driving controllers, and integrated central simulation control panel, offers the possibility for easy and comfortable control of locomotives and the entire layout. Up to 32 functions can be switched for locomotives, and up to 320 Motorola or 2048 DCC magnetic accessories are possible for accessory items.

Central Station 3 also features 2 built-in locomotive card readers (for storing locomotive data on a locomotive card or for quickly calling up the locomotive by inserting the locomotive card), an SD card reader for memory expansion, and an integrated loudspeaker for playing model railway sounds. A powerful booster is integrated for powering the layout with driving and switching current.

Central Station 3 is suitable for multiple devices, meaning that with the optional cable (60123), additional Central Stations 3 plus (60216), with a suitable network connection, can be used together in one setup. Additional control panels, more layouts, and keyboards further expand the setup, with shared and separate configurations for the parts of the setup to be controlled usable in Central Station 3 (plus).

Central Station 3 has 2 built-in USB hosts (e.g. for mouse, keyboard, USB stick), a USB charging port, a network connection for communication with a PC, connections for 2 Mobile Stations, a connection for external loudspeakers, and other connections for the Märklin bus system. S88 connections can be made externally via link s88 (60883).

Load capacity on connection track: max. 5 A, load capacity on programming track: max. 1.2 A. Central Station 3 can only be used in conjunction with power supply 60041 (60101 for Gauge 1 and L51095 for LGB) (not with transformers such as 60052). When using adapter 60041, the maximum output power of 58 VA and a maximum current of 3 A are achieved (with 60216 and adapter 60101/L51095, a maximum current of 5 A is achieved, recommended exclusively for Gauge 1/LGB. Be sure to note that the cable diameter is greater than 0.5 mm²!). Power supply is not included. Dimensions: 320 x 195 x 80 mm.
