Piko 97504/-5/-6 - Electric Locomotive - NS 1000 Blue - IV - DC/AC (Sound)

New 2025: The Dutch Railways' 1000 series electric locomotives are based on the SBB Ae 4/6. Unlike the Swiss locomotives, they were not designed for alternating current, but for the Dutch direct current network. Originally intended for express train services between major Dutch cities, they were used almost exclusively for freight trains between 1948 and 1982. Of the ten locomotives built, the 1010 is the only one preserved and can be viewed at the Railway Museum in Utrecht.
