This is a passenger carriage - NS AB7522 olive green, silver roof with lighting and figures

AB7521-7555 NS

At the end of the 1920s, NS (Dutch Railways) decided to order 35 steel D-carriages AB7521-7555 for its domestic and international express trains. The AB7521-7555s ordered from Werkspoor were delivered in 1932 and 1933. The recently delivered oval-window carriages served as a model for the design. The differences between these carriages are:

1. The AB7521-7555 is equipped with rectangular windows at the toilets,
2. The AB7521-7555 is welded and not riveted, which gave it a smooth and sleek look.
3. The AB7521-7555 was fitted with T-type bogies with integrated brake gear,
4. The AB7521-7555 was built in larger numbers than Oval Windows.

The AB7521-7555 was given a luxurious interior, making it suitable for international passenger trains. In 1952, NS converted some of the ABs into third-class carriages. With the downgrading in 1956, the ABs that had not yet been converted became entirely first-class, and the Cs became second-class. Finally, two ABs were converted into royal carriages.
