Diesel locomotive “Sik” from VolkerRail.

The Dutch State Railways purchased these 2-axle shunting locomotives from the manufacturer Werkspoor between 1934 and 1951. A series was also supplied by CW Zwolle. A total of 169 units were built in various series and slightly different versions. Because of their characteristic exhaust note, they are known to railway employees and enthusiasts as "Sikken" or "Sik" – the singular of "geit" (goat).
