Bavarian local railway locomotive PtL 2/2 as the BR 98.3 "Glaskasten" series of the German Federal Railways (DB). In its Era III operating condition, around 1954.
Condition : As new – Complete in original packaging with manual.

- A legend of secondary lines. The legendary DB class 98.3 local line locomotives (the former Bavarian PtL 2/2) were rarely identified by their series number, as these sturdy local line locomotives were much better known by their nickname "Glaskasten" (Glass Cabinets). This charming nickname came from their relatively large cab, which even encompassed a large part of the boiler and offered the driver a good view of the line thanks to the numerous windows. A semi-autonomous coal hopper allowed for economical, one-man operation. This made them ideal for light local line service.
