Heavy steam freight locomotive, class 57.5 (former Bavarian class G 5/5) with a type 2´2 T21.8 tender. Class version from the fourth series. Black and red basic livery of the German Federal Railroad (DB). Road number 57 577. Operating conditions around 1949.

Model: Locomotive with an mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Regulated high-efficiency propulsion with a flywheel in the boiler. 5 powered axles. Traction tires. The locomotive and tender are largely constructed of metal. A 72270 smoke generator can be installed in the locomotive. The dual headlights change over with the direction of travel. This and the smoke generator to be installed in the locomotive operate in conventional mode and can be controlled digitally. The lighting is equipped with maintenance-free, warm white LEDs. An adjustable coupling with a guide is located between the locomotive and tender. An NEM shaft, a close coupling, and a guide are located at the front of the locomotive and at the rear of the tender. The minimum curve radius is 360 mm. Piston rod guards and brake hoses are included.
Length over buffers 23.5 cm.
The legendary G 5/5 in DB livery. The DB acquired around 20 units from the fourth, more efficient production run of this powerhouse. The Märklin model shows this magnificent locomotive as it looked in 1949, with exquisite detailing, numerous prototypical operating and sound functions, and an mfx+ decoder.
