Märklin 46030 - Open Freight Wagon Set - O 02 and O 11 - DB
Cars O 02 and O 11 of the German Federal Railroad (DB). Association type, types "Schwerin" and "Nürnberg".
Condition: As new – Complete in original packaging.
Model: 10 wagons, each with 2 wagons with a brakeman's cab and a brakeman's platform. Different wagon lettering. Total length over the buffers: 80.0 cm. Isolated wheel set: 20 x 70 0580.

Briefly and concisely. The "Schwerin" and "Nürnberg" open wagons were built in large numbers from 1910 onwards for the Staatsbahn-Güterwagen-Verband (State Railway Freight Car Association) and the Reichsbahn (Reichsbahn). Their steel construction and short chassis made the wagons very stable, allowing them to be fully loaded, even with heavy bulk goods. Many of these wagons, with their almost toy-like silhouettes, returned to the Deutsche Bundesbahn after 1945. They were largely retained until the 1950s with the old DR or zone lettering, and replaced by newly acquired or rebuilt larger wagons.
